01 Overview
WorthApp is a free financial calculator application designed to function without requiring an internet connection for its core features. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any data you enter into it. Any incidental network activity that may occur as a result of the underlying platform or framework (such as Flutter), standard operating system components, or open-source libraries bundled with the App is not initiated by the Developer, does not involve your financial data, and is not within the Developer's direct control. The Developer does not receive, access, or process any information through such activity.
02 Information We Do Not Collect
The Developer does not collect, store, transmit, share, sell, or process any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number, etc.)
- Financial data or inputs you enter into the App
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware information
- Usage data, analytics, or behavioral tracking information
- Location data of any kind
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
The Developer has no backend infrastructure, no servers, and no mechanism to receive or store any data from your use of the App. Any network requests that may be made by third-party open-source libraries or platform components bundled with the App (e.g., Flutter framework internals, license display widgets, or OS-level services) are outside the Developer's control and do not involve your personal or financial data.
03 Local Data Storage
All data you enter into the App is stored exclusively on your device. This data is encrypted using SQLite database encryption. The encryption key is a 32-character key generated automatically and uniquely on first launch of the App on your device, using a cryptographically secure random number generator.
This encryption key is never transmitted off your device, never stored externally, and is never accessible to the developer or any third party.
04 Backup and Export Feature
WorthApp allows you to export your data as an encrypted backup file. The following applies to this feature:
- The exported backup file is encrypted using a password chosen by you at the time of export. The Developer does not set, know, store, or have any access to this password.
- The strength and security of the backup encryption is entirely dependent on the password you choose. The Developer strongly recommends choosing a strong, unique password. The Developer bears no responsibility for backup files that are compromised due to a weak or improperly safeguarded password.
- The export process saves the encrypted file to your device's local storage only. The App does not upload, transmit, or share this file anywhere.
- What you choose to do with the exported backup file after it is saved to your device is entirely your decision and responsibility.
- The Developer has no access to, knowledge of, or control over where you store or transmit your exported backup files after they leave the App.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your exported backup files and for any consequences arising from your storage or sharing of those files.
05 Third-Party Libraries and Framework Components
WorthApp is built using Flutter, an open-source framework developed by Google, and may include other open-source libraries and packages. These components may occasionally perform incidental network activity (such as loading license information, fonts, or other framework-level resources) that is not initiated or controlled by the Developer. The Developer does not intentionally integrate any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or data collection services. However, the Developer cannot guarantee that every bundled open-source dependency is entirely free of network activity under all conditions.
What the Developer can guarantee is that no data you enter into WorthApp is transmitted to any external party by the Developer or by any feature of the App itself.
06 Children's Privacy
WorthApp is safe for use by individuals of all ages, including children. Because the App does not collect any personal data from any user, it complies with applicable children's online privacy laws including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions relating to children, and all other applicable regional regulations. No personal data is collected from children or anyone else.
07 Network Access
WorthApp is designed to operate without requiring an internet connection for any of its core features. The App does not use network access to transmit your data. However, as the App is built on the Flutter framework and includes open-source libraries, certain incidental network calls may occur at the platform or framework level outside of the Developer's direct control. These do not involve your personal or financial data. The Developer does not operate any servers or endpoints that receive data from the App.
08 Data Security
The Developer does not operate any servers, databases, or external systems that store your data, which means there is no central point of breach on the Developer's end. Your financial data is encrypted on your device using a 32-character cryptographically secure randomly generated key and never leaves the App in unencrypted form through any Developer-controlled mechanism. The security of your data depends on the security of your own device and your handling of any exported backup files.
09 Data Retention
The Developer retains zero user data because zero user data is collected. All data within the App exists solely on your device, under your control, for as long as you choose to keep the App installed.
10 Your Rights
Since no personal data is collected by or transmitted to the Developer, rights such as data access, correction, deletion, or portability that may be provided under laws such as the GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), DPDP Act (India), or similar legislation, are exercised entirely through your control of your own device. You may delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.
11 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
